We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. We are an exciting new brunch-focused concept launching inside a Wyndham hotel in Edmonton. Our menu emphasizes creativity, consistency, and a warm dining experience. Head Chef

who can lead our kitchen, build strong systems, and bring standout brunch dishes to life.

Duties



Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of performance Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of dishes Develop and update menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends Ensure strict adherence to food safety and handling regulations to maintain a safe working environment Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to optimize kitchen operations Train new staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless serving of meals and excellent customer service Monitor kitchen cleanliness and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and hospitality excellence

Qualifications



Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably as a Head Chef or Executive Chef Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food industry standards Strong knowledge of restaurant management, food safety protocols, and kitchen operations Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff Demonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on hospitality excellence Experience in menu development, food handling, and serving techniques Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Exceptional communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences Prior restaurant experience is essential; familiarity with the specific cuisine or concept is a plus

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
