Nestled in the heart of Duck Mountain Provincial Park, the Duck Mountain Lodge offers a unique blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Our guests enjoy a culinary experience that combines hearty classics like steaks and burgers with a focus on healthy items as well, with a focus on fresh ingredients. We're looking for a passionate and skilled Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and elevate our dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Menu Creation:
Develop and execute a menu that balances healthy options with classic favorites like steaks, pasta, salads and burgers, ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.
Kitchen Leadership:
Oversee all kitchen operations, including staff management, scheduling, and training, to maintain a cohesive and efficient team.
Attention to Detail:
Ensure every dish is plated with precision and care, meeting the highest standards of presentation and taste.
Cleanliness & Organization:
Maintain a spotless and well-organized kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Inventory & Ordering:
Manage inventory levels, place orders for ingredients and supplies, and control food costs without compromising quality.
Scheduling:
Create and manage staff schedules to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak and off-peak times.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar leadership role in a kitchen.
Expertise in preparing steaks, burgers, pasta, salads and healthy dishes.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to cleanliness and food safety.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
