We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for innovative menu creation. This role involves overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards, managing staff, and maintaining high-quality food production in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in shaping the culinary vision and ensuring the smooth functioning of all food service activities.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, to ensure efficient operations and high standards of food quality
Oversee menu planning, development, and execution with a focus on fine dining, catering, and banquet services
Manage inventory control, food procurement, and cost management to optimize resources and reduce waste
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all kitchen areas
Coordinate shift management, including scheduling staff rotations and overseeing daily operational tasks
Supervise food preparation processes to ensure consistency, presentation excellence, and adherence to dietary requirements
Oversee catering events and special functions, providing leadership in menu customization and service delivery
Train and mentor staff to enhance culinary skills, teamwork, and professional growth
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless food service operations
Maintain excellent communication with suppliers and vendors for timely procurement of ingredients
Experience
Proven banquet experience with a strong background in large-scale event catering
Supervising experience within busy restaurant or hospitality settings
Extensive culinary experience with a focus on fine dining cuisine
Demonstrated leadership skills in managing kitchen teams and overseeing food production processes
Experience in dietary department management and food safety compliance
Strong background in inventory management, cost control, and kitchen operations management
Hands-on expertise in food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen management
Familiarity with restaurant management systems and hospitality industry standards
Previous roles involving food service management, catering coordination, or restaurant leadership are highly desirable
