We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Head Cashier to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for supervising the cashiers, ensuring efficient and accurate cash handling, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and passion for organic products will contribute to the success of our store.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the cashier team, ensuring smooth operation of the checkout process. Provide guidance and support to cashiers, offering training and assistance as needed. Perform cashier duties when necessary, including processing customer purchases, handling cash, and using POS systems accurately. Maintain a high level of customer service by promptly and courteously assisting customers with inquiries, refunds, exchanges, and resolving any issues that may arise. Monitor checkout area for cleanliness and organization, ensuring the availability of supplies such as bags, receipt paper, and cash drawer trays. Manage cash register reconciliation at the end of each shift and prepare necessary reports. Collaborate with store management to implement and enforce loss prevention measures and security procedures. Assist with scheduling cashiers, ensuring adequate coverage during peak business hours and making adjustments as necessary. Stay updated on product knowledge, promotions, and pricing to provide accurate information to customers. Participate in inventory management tasks, such as stock replenishment and price labeling. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among the cashier team.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in business or retail management is a plus. Proven experience as a cashier or in a supervisory role within a retail environment. Familiarity with organic products and a genuine interest in healthy and sustainable living. Excellent math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service. Proficient in using electronic cash registers, POS systems, and other relevant technology. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy items and stand for extended periods.
