Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Driller to join our team. The position is for a driller/locator working in Rural Clearwater County. Experience with Vermeer 20/23 and 24/40 is a asset. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy equipment operation and a strong mechanical aptitude. As a Driller/Locator, you will be responsible for performing drilling and locating operations in various construction settings along highways and range roads, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout the process.

Duties

Operate drilling equipment, including horizontal drilling machines, excavators, and other heavy machinery. Conduct site assessments and prepare drilling sites for operations. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to coordinate drilling activities and achieve project goals. Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Maintain accurate records of drilling activities and report any issues to supervisors.

Skills

Proficient in equipment operation. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment as necessary. Experience with horizontal drilling techniques and practices. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and requirements. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Knowledge of construction processes and safety standards related to drilling operations. Requirements

Proficient with Vermeer HDD drills. Familiar with both Subsite and F5 locating equipment. Read and understand construction plans. Physically fit. Ability to work under pressure. Reliable vehicle to get to and from work out of town. Safety orientated. Ability to work with as a team without the foreman or superintendent on-site all the time.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
