Join our team! Hino Central is looking for Heavy-Duty Technician Apprentice level 2 at our Calgary location! Reporting to the Parts and Service Manager, the Heavy-Duty Tech Apprentice is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by maintaining and repairing vehicles in a timely fashion as a member of the Hino Central team. This position will employ logic and deductive reasoning in diagnosing and troubleshooting in an independent environment.

Main Responsibilities:



Work under the direction of a Journeyman Technician Maintain a positive teamwork environment and safe practices Assess work orders, diagnose faults and malfunctions by inspecting the vehicle using testing equipment, shop manuals, mechanical and electrical experience and training Dismantle faulty assemblies and repair or replace worn or damaged parts Reassemble, adjust, and test new or repaired components Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications. Document work performed, general vehicle conditions, and future repair requirements within work order or estimate sheet Test drive vehicles when required Maintain a clean work environment / station Carry out all training as assigned

What you'll bring:



Registered as an Apprentice, be registered with a governing body. Must have a mechanical and electronic aptitude and have the ability to handle multiple tasks Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal Valid Driver's License, minimum of Class 5 (Driver's License class 1 or 3 with Q endorsement considered an asset) and Driver's Abstract acceptable to TDF Group's Driver and Vehicle Safety Program Pre-hire Criminal Security Clearance. Must be a team player and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Share our commitment to exceeding our customers' expectations
