Haul Out Operator - Snow Removal (with Summer Work Potential)

Position Summary

LECM is seeking an experienced and motivated

Haul Out Operator

to join our snow operations team for the upcoming winter season. This position plays a key role in

loading other operators' trucks efficiently and safely

, as well as

actively participating in site snow clearing and pile management

. The ideal candidate has proven skill operating

skid steers and loaders

trailers confidently

Key Responsibilities

Load snow trucks efficiently and safely

during overnight haul-out operations, maintaining steady workflow and minimal downtime.

Operate skid steers and loaders

to clear, pile, and relocate snow across commercial properties.

Assist with snow clearing operations

as needed, including maintaining access routes and loading zones.

Coordinate closely with truck drivers and site leads

to ensure smooth operations and effective site management.

Perform safe and precise trailer operations

, including loading and unloading equipment and securing it for transport.

Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections

of all assigned equipment, reporting issues promptly.

Work efficiently and independently

in high-traffic or low-visibility conditions while maintaining safety standards.

Support the snow team

by adapting to shifting priorities and ensuring properties are cleared in a timely and professional manner.

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum

3-5 years of snow removal and hauling experience

, including skid steer and loader operation. Proven ability to

load other operators' trucks quickly and safely

, while also performing snow clearing tasks. Strong

trailer experience

, including safe loading, unloading, and tie-down procedures. Valid

driver's license

(Class 5 or higher; Class 3 an asset). Ability to

work overnight and extended hours

during major snow events. Excellent communication, teamwork, and situational awareness skills. Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused with strong attention to detail.

Assets

Experience in

concrete, paving, or asphalt work

is a major asset for summer employment opportunities. Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment checks and maintenance. Previous experience in

commercial or municipal snow operations

preferred.

Compensation & Schedule

Wage:

$30 - $35 per hour (based on experience and performance).

Schedule:

Overnight shifts during snow events (weather-dependent).

Employment Type:

Seasonal, with opportunity for full-time, year-round work in summer construction operations.
