:
Designing test fixtures, including PCBA design and debugging, also pogo pins and some mechanical design/assembly for the fixture.
Develop test scripts with LabVIEW and TestStand, with communicating to different equipment via different communication protocols, such as power supply, power meters, DMM, DAQ, etc.
Learn and maintain the test stations and scripts for the existing products that are still running production at the CM;
Work with the offshore CM to debug the test stations when there are some issues;
Travel to the CM when the new test stations need to be deployed on site; (averagely 2-3 weeks each time and 1-2 times per year)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete test plan, test specifications and test procedures for new products (NPI);
Assist to design, assemble and deploy manufacturing ATE test stations to support manufacturing of Generac CES Products in facilities around the world;
Design automated test software for production test;
Understand common hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, USB, UART, SPI etc\xe2\x80\xa6);
Coordinate the test technical support for the internal service/engineer teams, and contract manufacturers, and occasionally travel to bring up new test systems;

Minimal Qualifications:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in applied science degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Mechatronics engineering or related discipline
1-2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience designing, deploying and supporting automated test fixtures for embedded devices, and power electronics Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing test systems for off-shore contract manufacturers and clearly communicating those processes to remote technicians
Prior experience in technology that promotes sustainable energy, reduces our dependence on CO2 and protects the environment Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Understanding of the operating principles of embedded devices and Power electronics, especially those using components such as microcontrollers, microprocessors, wifi radios, power supplies, power converters and ADCs;
Experience or willing to learn TestStand/LabVIEW including developing test scripts and deploying the test suite, Python is a plus;
Experience automating and troubleshooting test instruments (Oscilloscope, DMM, Power suppliers, power meters, and electrical loads)
Experience working with and debugging common communication protocols (CAN, I2C, Ethernet, GPIB, etc.)
Excellent written and oral communication skills;
Understand high-volume manufacturing of electronics products, including mixed surface mount/through-hole PCBs and electromechanical assembly.
Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting; close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
