Our Opportunity

Axiomatic designs electronic devices to handle various control functions on machines. We are looking for a candidate in the area of high-power electronic design such as inverters, power supplies and motor controllers to join our hardware development team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for electrical, control and instrumentation designs, verification, validation, EMC certification. Other duties include providing support to manufacturing, test and marketing departments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Experience with 5kW+ high-power electronic design a definite asset.

Responsibilities

Develop schematic designs from customer specifications Magnetic design and prototype of inductors and transformers Contribute to product certification (such as EMC, UL, CE) Verification and validation of hardware design Present technical data/engineering reports to development team and customer Identify, qualify, and source electronic components used in Bills of Materials (BOM) Meet occasionally with component suppliers and provide suggestions in new designs and technologies
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of work-related experience Experience in high voltage/high power design such as inverters, power supplies, motor drives Strong understanding of layout design for high power electronics Experience in agency certification processes: EMC, UL, CE Effective verbal and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking Work well independently and in team environments
