Crew Leader - Hardscape Division

Are you a skilled and experienced hardscape professional with a passion for building beautiful, lasting outdoor spaces? Lyman's Landscaping is growing, and we're looking for a dedicated Hardscape Crew Leader to join our team of landscape professionals!

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified individual to lead our Hardscape Division full-time, with winter maintenance responsibilities during snow season.

Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of hardscape installers to ensure the successful completion of interlock, grading, carpentry, fence projects among other hardscape projects. Motivate and guide your crew to deliver high-quality work, on time and on budget, while maintaining a safe and productive job site. Read and interpret landscape design plans and ensure proper layout, excavation, base preparation, and installation of interlocking stone, retaining walls, steps, and other hardscape features. Oversee the construction of fences and decks, ensuring workmanship meets company and industry standards. Ensure proper site grading and drainage solutions are implemented with accuracy and foresight. Perform quality checks throughout the project lifecycle and resolve any issues or deficiencies quickly and effectively. Communicate with project managers, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth coordination of materials, timelines, and expectations. Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in safe working order. Lead a winter maintenance crew during the off-season, ensuring timely snow and ice removal and upholding safety and liability standards.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience

in hardscape construction, with a focus on

interlock installation

. Proven leadership experience in a similar role within the landscaping or construction industry. Advanced understanding of hardscape techniques, materials, and equipment operation. Experience with fence and deck construction and grading best practices. Ability to manage a crew effectively and foster a team environment that values quality and safety. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Physical stamina and ability to work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions. Availability for full-time work, including participation in the winter maintenance rotation.
