We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in hair styling techniques and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role requires proficiency in various hair services, including cutting, coloring, and styling, as well as a keen understanding of current trends and techniques. The Hair Stylist will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace while ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication and personalized service.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, hair extensions, and hair threading.
Utilize knowledge of color theory to achieve desired results for clients.
Maintain sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.
Operate salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling appointments and managing client records.
Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients and managing retail sales.
Educate clients on proper hair care techniques and recommend products for maintenance.
Upsell additional services and products to enhance the client experience.
Mentor junior stylists and assist in training new team members.
Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices in cosmetology and barbering.
Qualifications
Valid cosmetology or barbering license.
Proficiency in hair styling techniques including straight razor skills, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Experience with retail math to assist in sales performance tracking.
Familiarity with salon management software is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
