The Hairstyling Public Clinic Instructor provides leadership, mentorship, and supervision to students completing their work-integrated learning experience in our on-campus salon. This role ensures that students are supported in applying classroom knowledge to real-world salon experiences, developing technical proficiency, professionalism, and client service skills. The Public Clinic Instructor collaborates with faculty, salon partners, and students to create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that aligns with program outcomes and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and evaluate students during work integrated learning in onsite salon, ensuring alignment with program outcomes Provide mentorship for both technical and employability skills related to salon operations Collaborate with faculty, industry partners, and employers to maintain strong community connections and relevant job opportunities Model professionalism, client service, and workplace readiness in all instructional activities
Job Requirements

Red Seal certification in hairstyling required Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the hairstyling industry including salon ownership or management Previous teaching or mentor experience in an educational or a workplace setting preferred Strong knowledge of salon safety, client relations, and current industry trends Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

This is a Sessional Part-Time Faculty appointment at the Lloydminster campus. Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
