Hairdressing Instructor

Reports to: Campus Director

The

Hairdressing Instructor

is responsible for delivering theory and practical lessons to students using industry-approved curriculum and standards. He/She will:

Provide training in Hair Theory, Hair Design, Hair Cutting, and other related modules

Instruct students in the use of special equipment they need to complete the program

Attend weekly and monthly staff meetings.

Teach the course components as outlined in the timeline in the designated time frame.

Prior to class, Instructors are to be prepared with all tests, assignments, and photocopy materials necessary.

Instructors are responsible for correcting of all tests, assignments, and projects for courses.

Effectively communicate the content of the course to all students in the program.

Maintain attendance records.

Follow comprehensive attendance policy as outlined by CBBC policy handbook.

All instructors should project a professional image.

CBBC Career College is registered with the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Advanced Education-Private Career Colleges Division.

Qualifications

:

Master Cosmetologist Certificate from Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia and be eligible for Instructor Certificate from CANS

5 years' related work experience to course content being taught

Redken

experience is considered an asset

A Criminal Record and Social Media check will be conducted.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
