We are seeking an industry experienced, qualified instructor to take over this course for the remaining of the semester.

ECON 120 Economics - Tuesdays from 6 to 9pm in Vancouver Campus (Downtown)?


This introductory course focuses on macroeconomics, helping students understand key economic principles. Topics covered include opportunity cost, the law of diminishing returns, market price setting, price elasticity, and government price controls. Students will also explore important concepts such as unemployment, inflation, gross domestic product, money, banking, and stabilization policies, gaining a comprehensive understanding of how these factors shape the economy.

Responsibilities



Teach students in an engaging manner using a mix of diverse resources (e.g. lectures, workshops, discussion sessions, and presentations). Source or prepare teaching materials for courses including audio visual and web-related materials where appropriate. Maintain accurate weekly attendance and assignment logs on the college's Learning Management System. Prepare, administer, and grade course assignments, exams, and other projects assigned to students to evaluate learning progress. Provide detailed feedback and records on student performance. Attend staff training sessions, faculty meetings, and student disciplinary meetings when required.

Qualifications



Undergraduate degree or dipoma in Hospitality, tourism or a related field. Minimum 5 years working experience in the industry. Minimum 2 years teaching or training experience. Proficiency working with technology and different online tools. Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to plan, prioritize and meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Passionate about contributing to students learning process.

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
