Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Guitar Instructor to join our music education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in guitar performance and a desire to share their knowledge with students of all ages. This role involves teaching guitar techniques, music theory, and fostering a love for music in a supportive and engaging environment. Experience with early childhood education or working with children is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and skill levels. Teach fundamental guitar techniques, music theory, and song repertoire. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve. Organize group classes or workshops to enhance collaborative learning experiences. Maintain communication with students and parents regarding progress and any areas for improvement. Participate in school events or performances to showcase student achievements.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a guitar instructor or performer, with proficiency in various styles of music. Background in early childhood education or experience working with children is preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students effectively. Knowledge of classroom management techniques to create a conducive learning atmosphere. Ability to educate students not only in guitar playing but also in music appreciation. Experience in tutoring or mentoring students is a plus. A passion for music and teaching, along with patience and enthusiasm for helping students learn.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 20 per week
