Position Overview
As the Guest Service Manager at Amato Trattoria, you play a key leadership role in delivering warm, consistent, and memorable hospitality. While you support overall daily operations on the floor, your primary focus is on guest relationships ensuring every person who walks through our doors feels recognized, cared for, and valued.
You will lead the front-of-house team in providing exceptional service, manage guest interactions in real time, and oversee all guest feedback channels including OpenTable reviews, Google reviews, emails, and post-visit responses. This position requires a proactive leader who champions hospitality standards, mentors employees, and creates a guest-first service culture.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Floor Management
Maintain a strong floor presence to ensure smooth service flow, communication, and pacing.
Support daily operational needs, staffing, and section management.
Collaborate with servers, bartenders, hosts, and kitchen employees.
Guest Experience & Relationship Building
Build genuine relationships with guests through table touches and personalized interactions.
Track guest preferences and special occasions.
Handle guest concerns with professionalism and urgency.
Review & Reputation Oversight
Monitor OpenTable, Google, and other review channels daily.
Respond professionally to online reviews.
Communicate trends to leadership.
Employee Training & Development
Coach employees on hospitality excellence and service standards.
Lead ongoing service training and onboarding.
Provide real-time feedback during service.
Operational & Administrative Support
Assist with checklists, shift notes, reservation flow, and large-party coordination.
Uphold compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations.
Assist with weekly service observations and guest-experience insights.
Qualifications
2-3 years of leadership experience in a full-service restaurant.
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
Understanding of OpenTable and review systems.
Serving It Right certification required.
