The Opportunity
We're looking for a
Guest Service Associate (PM Shift)
with a passion for hospitality to join our Front Desk Team--someone who is goal-oriented, customer-focused, and ready to bring fresh ideas to the table. If you thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and love making guests feel welcome, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
? Be the face of The Arlo Hotel, welcoming guests with enthusiasm and sincerity, ensuring their stay starts and ends on a positive note
? Deliver outstanding customer service--going the extra mile is what we do best
? Communicate professionally in person, over the phone, and via email, handling all guest interactions with the highest quality of service and professionalism, owning guest issues through to resolution and accommodating requests whenever possible
? Become an expert on our hotel and the city, providing guests with helpful recommendations and information
? Follow efficient check-in and check-out procedures while ensuring accuracy in guest details, including processing payments and charges
? Collaborate with departments (Housekeeping and Maintenance) to meet guest needs
? Maintain a clean and organized Front Desk, back-of-house, and lobby area, contributing to a welcoming and efficient environment for both guests and team members
? Use Windows-based software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) for daily tasks
? Flexibly support back-of-house operations as needed, including inventory checks, room checks, and minor maintenance and technology issues
? Assist market leadership with administrative tasks to support smooth operations and continuous improvement in the guest experience
What We're Looking For:
? A friendly, positive, outgoing personality with a passion for hospitality
? Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
? Excellent communication and organizational abilities with a proactive approach to guest needs
? A team player who thrives in a dynamic environment, both independently and collaboratively
? Proficiency in languages other than English is an asset
? Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
? Strong computer literacy and writing skills, with comfort switching between multiple desktop and mobile applications
? Regular access to a reliable smartphone for work purposes (expense reimbursement available)
? Ability to remain standing for extended periods and lift and/or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
