Can you build and lead a multinational cloud security focused team to help globally scale new and innovative capabilities for customers? Can you effectively tailor approaches and solutions specific to a range of shifting market verticals and evolving technology environments? Do you understand and embody the principle of obsessing over customer results?
Global Services Security (GSS) is hiring an experienced program manager to help build a new functional group within our GSS Scaling team. This key role will help establish and manage processes to rationalize the global market viability of new acceleration mechanisms to scale the delivery of customer business and security outcomes. This functional lead will directly support consultants and builders within Professional Services, AWS Service Teams, and AWS Support groups as a partner in delivering security solutions that delight our customers.
The GSS Scaling Team works to optimize our customers' success by extending the applicability and quality of our most effective security patterns for self-service or delivery by our professional services consultants. Our partnership with AWS Professional Services, customer enterprise support teams, and third-party solution providers allows us to manage feedback mechanisms to continually enhance the effectiveness of security, risk, and compliance features. We do this to provide our customers with the confidence they need to move their most sensitive workloads to the cloud so they can achieve their innovation and business transformation goals.
Key job responsibilities
Scale customer obsession - Partner with leaders across AWS to develop and leverage our customer's specific security needs to drive strategies for scaling the security solutions and mechanisms that scale.
Insist on the highest standards - Relentlessly seek feedback from internal and external customers to drive prioritization, improvement, and demand forecasting. Develop and operate interaction models that consider the needs of global sales teams, architects, consultants, service teams, partners, and stakeholders to maximize security solutions.
Build and lead great teams - establish a diverse cross-industry and cross-geography team to accomplish market rationalization of the GSS Scaling Team's functional objectives. Lead teams of matrixed personnel by earning trust. Develop future leaders who obsess over designing, curating, and developing scalable, industry-focused solutions with global impact. Lead with empathy and promote Amazon's peculiar ways to establish patterns of success from your diverse team of direct and indirect reports.
Contribute to an ecosystem-based approach - Work with other leaders in the GSS Scaling team to establish cohesive solution strategies that are coupled with segment sales and delivery teams, AWS Product and Service teams, the broader AWS Partner Network and industry solution and service providers.
