We're looking for a Customer Education Program Manager to join us at Thinkific. As a Customer Education Program Manager, you'll build and launch in-demand knowledge products (like guides, webinars, videos, courses, etc.) to drive new Thinkific user signups, retain customers, upsell existing customers, and ensure customer success. You will be responsible for the end-to-end strategy of scaling our accelerator programs to drive customer adoption and retention, project management, production, marketing, and selling the knowledge products we build under the Thinkific Academy brand. Your work will be seen by tens of thousands of people, and be responsible for the success of thousands of new online education businesses! Your goal will be to build a world-class customer education program that drives customer acquisition and retention. Here's how you'll accomplish this:

  • Putting your research and analytical skills to use to discover the most in-demand learning topics for online business owners, then review and report on the performance of your programs
  • Creating a strategy that serves the demand for these learning topics with at-scale knowledge products (including guides, webinars, and online courses) in alignment with Thinkific's overall marketing and product release schedules
  • Designing programs specifically for Thinkific campaigns and product launches, specifically accelerator programs focused on customer acquisition
  • Working closely with partners, subject matter experts, the Data team, the Customer Education team, the Audience team, and other stakeholders, both soliciting feedback and sharing your insights
  • Owning knowledge products from end-to-end. You'll project manage production, develop and oversee the launch, and continue to drive promotion for these products
The person we have in mind likely:
  • Has 5+ years of experience creating, marketing, and selling knowledge products at scale
  • Pinpoints in-demand topics for knowledge products via market, customer, and industry research to quickly deliver relevant online learning experiences, driving successful launches and evergreen sales funnels
  • Doesn't shy away from the camera, whether that's being in front of it or working behind it. They're probably well-versed in recording webinars and engaging live audiences
  • Can report on the results of their work both quantitatively and qualitatively, and continuously improves based on past results and feedback
  • Successfully leads and manages projects involving multiple stakeholders (ideally including outsourcing to service providers like video editors, designers, developers)
  • Is an excellent communicator and strong storyteller who is compelling while speaking to complex ideas and visions with different audiences.
  • Loves to learn and grow. They've found (and keep looking for) ways to level up their skills in this field, whether that's through formal education, gaining professional experience, or maybe even building their own business
These things would also be nice, but we think you could learn them on the job:
  • Experience owning or working at a business with recurring subscription based pricing like SaaS, membership sites, professional organizations, etc.
  • Video scripting, production, and post-production experience
  • A knack for creative design or copywriting
  • Basic HTML/CSS proficiency
