We are seeking a?Projects and Engagement Officer?to lead sector-specific initiatives that not only support ITPs but also?strengthen employer relationships and engagement strategies.
About the Role
The Project Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with community stakeholders--including employers, program participants and partner organizations --and for organizing, expanding, and supporting CRIEC's mentorship program. This role focuses on engaging communities and industry partners, cultivating partnerships that foster career development opportunities for newcomers and onboarding mentors. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver who can identify needs, present viable solutions and develop strategic relationships to advance CRIEC's mission. Key duties include managing recruitment and onboarding of participants and sustaining connections with all stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Project Management
Develop detailed project plans on assigned projects and monitor progress to ensure program milestones are achieved.
Design and deliver events, presentations, and programs that introduce CRIEC's services to community partners, employers, and service providers in emerging sectors.
Actively conduct outreach through direct calls, community event participation, and business development initiatives to grow and enhance the mentorship program regularly.
Collaborate with internal teams to design effective onboarding strategies and ensure successful mentor-mentee matches
Develop and maintain engagement strategies with employers in key sectors to cultivate long-term partnerships.
Form and support mentorship cohorts in collaboration with industry associations and employer partners.
Represent CRIEC at relevant events and collaborative initiatives, promoting visibility and partnership opportunities.
Create and implement evaluation frameworks to measure and improve program outcomes.
Prepare detailed narrative and progress reports for funders and key stakeholders.
Program Oversight
Collaborate with the leadership team and internal teams to implement CRIEC's overall vision for mentorship and newcomer integration.
Lead various aspects of day-to-day mentorship program delivery and other ongoing programs to ensure participant success.
Work with team leads to develop and launch mentor-focused activities in support of strategic goals.
Act as Subject Matter Expert and work with software vendors to advance CRIEC's technological tools
Prepare regular progress and impact reports for senior leadership review.
Identify and evaluate avenues for employer partners to recruit program participants directly
Leadership and Relationship Building
Consult with cross-functional team to ensure alignment with CRIEC's existing programs, mission, and vision
Proactively explore innovative approaches to grow the mentorship program and other CRIEC projects on an ongoing basis.
Mentor and support team members to advance their professional skills and growth.
Empower teams by managing budgets, setting clear objectives, and defining meaningful success metrics.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and adaptability within the organization.
Take on additional duties as required to support evolving program needs and organizational priorities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in social sciences, Business Administration, Non-Profit Management, or equivalent experience in related discipline.
Five or more years of experience in program or project management, community engagement, ideally within the non-profit sector.
Experience in business development and proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with diverse stakeholders
Strong understanding of the employment landscape and the challenges facing internationally trained professionals.
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
Experience with program evaluation, report writing, and evaluation methods.
Proficiency with project management and CRM tools
Master's degree an asset
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to change.
