You will have a marketing specialist who will report to you, who will support you in setting the strategies, executing the plans, and measuring performance for our Visa portfolio. You will report to the Senior Marketing Manager.
This is a permanent, full-time role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. Periodically, you'll be required to attend in-person activities or events.
How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Taking ownership of product positioning, messaging, and the go-to-market strategy for Visa to achieve business objectives
  • Leveraging your deep analytical skill set to ensure thorough measurement of marketing activity against short-term and long-term KPIs, while connecting results to opportunities for improvement
  • Enabling branches, member support, and other internal teams to tell a compelling story about our product benefits
  • Managing multiple high-priority projects in a deadline and data-driven environment
  • Leading and mentoring your team, guiding them to deliver high quality marketing campaigns
What You'll Bring to the Team:
  • A university degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 5-10 years of professional experience in Marketing (preferably in the financial services sector or on Visa services)
  • Proven experience leading engaged marketing teams
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing strategy, delivery, and all elements of the marketing mix (lifecycle journeys, organic social media, paid media, events, and face-to-face), with specific experience in digital marketing
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of strategic business drivers and how these translate into marketing strategy
  • Proven ability to partner with data-driven stakeholders such as cross-functional teams and Product leads
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to use influencing skills to drive team alignment
  • Strong analytical skills to measure performance, derive insights, and aid in decision making
  • Superior storytelling and presentation skills
  • Ability to bring new innovative marketing strategies to life and constantly evolve best practice with a test & learn approach
You'll Thrive Here If You Are:
  • Strategic - You connect the dots across business goals and marketing tactics to drive growth
  • Analytical - You use data to inform decisions and continuously improve performance
  • Collaborative - You build strong relationships across teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Curious - You seek out new opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends
  • Inclusive - You value diverse perspectives and create marketing that resonates with all members
We value lived experience, so if you are interested in this role, we encourage you to apply even if you feel your skills don't perfectly align with those listed
