The opportunity:





Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Insurance & Wellington-Altus Group Solutions (WAGS), the Group Solutions & Insurance Associate will assist the team in the delivery of exceptional service to both individual and group (WAGS) clients. This role is detail-oriented and client-focused and requires close collaboration with the team to ensure the successful administration and management of group insurance and retirement clients as well as supporting in the sale and service of individual insurance products.


Key responsibilities include:




Assisting with the implementation and ongoing administration of group insurance plans. Supporting renewal process by gathering data and reviewing insurer proposals. Maintaining accurate client records and assist with billing and reconciliation tasks. Liaising with insurers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolutions. Tracking commissions. Preparing and conducting thorough audits of comprehensive reports and data crucial for deliverables to WAGS clients. Handling client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner, providing clear and concise information to client satisfaction. Assisting individual employees and members of WAGS group clients with various requests. Connecting with group members as required to gather information, address concerns, and provide assistance in a timely manner. Preparing and processing paperwork for plan members, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. Offering general information and advice regarding group plans, benefits, and related inquiries. Collaborating with the WAGS team to provide dedicated support at the plan sponsor level for group clients. Assisting with regular and ad hoc tasks to ensure effective and seamless service delivery to clients. Contributing to strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing client relationships and improving overall client experience. Performing other reasonable duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess:




A bachelor's degree or diploma in business administration, accounting, finance or a similar field of study. 1+ years' experience in an administrative or operational capacity. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience in the wealth management or other regulated industry is a strong asset. LLQP an asset. CPH, CSC or CFP an asset. Proficiency with the MSOffice suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. Demonstrate a high level of accountability, reliability, adaptability, and innovation in accomplishing day to day work and long-term goals. Excellent attitude and commitment to providing extraordinary service. An excellent attention to detail. Exemplary interpersonal and influencing skills; an ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively, across multiple mediums (in-person, over the phone, and virtually). Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills. A high tolerance for ambiguity; highly adaptive and able to manage a large volume of competing priorities. Strong critical thinking and written and verbal communication skills. An ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
