It\xe2\x80\x99s our employee promise.Our hybrid work model provides the balance between working from home and enjoying meaningful in-person interactions.Read on to see how you can shape the future, win as a team, and grow with us.About the roleWe\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Specialist to join our growing Commercial Group Solutions team!This is a hybrid role and can be based out of our Toronto or Ottawa office!\xe2\x80\x8bWhat you\xe2\x80\x99ll do here:Support the strategic product development plan to achieve growth targets.Develop guidelines, authority statements and manage the referral process to support performance and underwriting.Gather market intelligence by working directly with distribution, brokers and customers and compare Intact\'s product offering to the competition.Research technology-based solutions for pricing, underwriting, risk assessment and loss mitigation opportunitiesCollaborate with internal teams to explore new growth and profitability opportunities through technical research and relationship building.Assist in portfolio management through governance best practices, profitability and growth analysis.Perform technical underwriting audit.Communicate changes related underwriting guidelines and new products.Provide underwriting training, lending expertise colleagues and distribution underwriters.Be accountable for assigned accounts.Use negotiating skills to maintain healthy relationships within and outside the company.Communicate changes related to product pricing, underwriting guidelines and new products.What you bring to the table:University degree/College diploma or any combination of equivalent education and experienceMinimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experienceHighly organized, with the ability to work towards goals while adapting to change in a fast paced environmentStrong communication skills, including the ability to persuade as well as challenge othersCan deal effectively and respectfully with individuals at all levels of the organizationSelf-starter with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with national departmental teamsEffective analytical, negotiating and decision-making skillsCan work well under tight deadlines, including organizational and time management skillsHigh level of integrity, confidentiality and accountabilityDigital and Data Acumen, understanding how these two items can support and facilitate the customer and Underwriters experienceCIP is a must and FCIP and/or CRM designation is an assetWilling to travel on occasionNo Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.#LI-HybridWhat we offerWorking here means you\'ll be empowered to be and do your best every day.
