The Group Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies to ensure the hotel achieves its revenue and room-night goals. This role ensures that sales and marketing strategies are established, tactical plans are created and executed, and results are continuously monitored and achieved.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing sales strategies and initiatives designed to grow Group Sales while maintaining a strong industry presence and developing relationships with key decision-makers. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, the Group Sales Manager will represent and fulfill the following essential functions:

Key Responsibilities



Achieve and exceed annual budgeted room-night and revenue targets. Negotiate corporate rates and contract terms within parameters set by the Director of Sales and the Director of Revenue Management. Prepare all client proposals and contracts. Analyze and estimate the total value of each piece of business to negotiate the most favorable outcome for the hotel while ensuring exceptional customer service. Manage account details to ensure all aspects of solicitation, follow-up, and closing are complete and properly documented. Conduct site inspections for potential clients. Travel locally (and nationally, as required) to conduct sales calls, promote the hotel, and monitor competitors. Entertain clients, both onsite and offsite, as needed to secure business. Represent the hotel at trade shows, sales blitzes, and client events. Maintain consistent attendance and availability according to business needs. Enter group rooming lists, set up routing, take payment and ensure all is entered properly in the PMS system Communicate clearly with the Front Desk team and all departments involved in a smooth guest stay

Requirements



Post-secondary education, preferably a degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Sales, Public Relations, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of hotel sales experience. Strong negotiation skills and experience with contracts and proposals. Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written) is essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong computer proficiency. High personal performance standards and a commitment to team success. Knowledge of the local market. Class 5 driver's license.

Pay: $46,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
