Guide Info Sheet Group Leaders are responsible for the overall safe operation of vans, trailers and daily logistics for tours that operate throughout Western Canada. Our guides are passionate and aim to craft experiences for guests to create an unforgettable vacation. Guides are encouraged to add their own personality to every experience. We are looking for motivated, energetic, customer-focused and hard working individuals. For the 2023 season Group Leaders will be operating tours representing different reputable and reliable sales partners. Guides will share our aligned values, a dedication to the people and the environment in all the places we work and recreate on. Salary
$145-$180 daily rate for guides (when working) + accommodation between trips + tips & commission Schedule
Guides schedule for the season will be confirmed immediately \xe2\x97\x8fFlexible work schedule - work all summer based on what works best for you. Multiple trips will be added to the contract with your whole summer schedule. Accomodation
Accommodation will be provided for the duration of all tours, as well as a pre and post night. For accomodation between trips we will update you based on location. We have a base in Canmore, AB. Requirements
\xe2\x97\x8f Class 4 Canadian Driver License with a clean driving record
\xe2\x97\x8f Legal Canadian work eligibility
\xe2\x97\x8f CPR Level C + First Aid Required; (WFR or WFA preferred)
\xe2\x97\x8f Dedication to safety and client care for the duration of the season
\xe2\x97\x8f Excellent organization, public speaking and customer service skills
\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to work independently Daily Responsibilities
\xe2\x97\x8f Safely driving a van with a maximum of 13 passengers with a tow-trailer filled with camping gear and luggage on a daily basis
\xe2\x97\x8f Facilitating group meals and cooking outdoors
\xe2\x97\x8f Managing group expenses and budgets, recording receipts, and handling large sums of money responsibly.
\xe2\x97\x8f Inspecting and maintaining all equipment and daily inspections of the van and trailer.
\xe2\x97\x8f Adhering to federal commercial driving regulations and working hours
\xe2\x97\x8f Delivering well researched cultural and historical information on each location visited
\xe2\x97\x8f Handling all customer dynamics, satisfaction, requests and complaints Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Casual, Seasonal, Freelance

COVID-19 considerations:
All guests booked onto trips must have their vaccinations.

• tour guiding / tourism related: 2 years (preferred)
