The Central Residential Services Board (CRSB) is established to provide a community based, home-like living arrangement and to support residents with intellectual disabilities, and to provide physical and human resources to foster the overall health and well-being of these residents.

We are seeking Group Home Counsellors

on a call in

basis who are responsible for providing for the care, welfare, safety and security of individuals with intellectual disabilities in order to address their overall emotional, physical, nutritional, medical, mental and social well-being.

Job duties will include:

Implements Resident Support Plans consistently and accurately to promote skill development and meaningful daily activities Supervises residents in structured and unstructured activities, assists them to use free time constructively, and actively participates in daily routines Follows appropriate interventions for behavior and incidents Implements prescribed medical treatment plans Participates in therapeutic recreational activities to promote skill development and meaningful daily activities Consistently follows Board policy and procedure Mentors new and junior employees Promotes the health and safety of residents and co-workers

STARTING SALARY: $27.07/ hr

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

:

? High school diploma

? Clear certificate of conduct

? CPI and First Aid training (training can be offered to the successful candidate)

Behaviour Basics Training

? Effective interpersonal skills

? Flexibility

? Team player

? Excellent oral communication

? Excellent written communication

? Demonstrated Client focus

? Demonstrated good work ethic and attendance

Drivers License

? Use of private vehicle is a requirement

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS

? Post-secondary education with course work in psychology or equivalent education.

? Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
