Burford Veterinary Hospital is seeking a skilled, compassionate Pet Groomer to join our dedicated team! We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional medical care and outstanding client service, and we're looking for a groomer who shares our passion for improving the lives of pets and the people who love them!

Duties

Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, brushing, and styling of pets according to client specifications Handle animals safely and gently during grooming procedures, utilizing animal restraint techniques as needed Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and work area Assess pet health and behavior, alerting management to any concerns or abnormalities Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions Assist with pet care tasks such as feeding, walking, or kennel cleaning when required Ensure the safety of animals during all procedures by applying proper handling techniques Ensure a calm, safe, and positive grooming experience for all pets Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure pets' health and comfort during grooming

Qualifications

Experience as a professional groomer (portfolio or references preferred) Ability to handle dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments Knowledge of breed-specific cuts and grooming techniques Strong communication and customer-service skills Patience, compassion, and genuine love of animals Ability to work independently and as part of a team
