Job Summary:

Responsible for leading the Grocery Department and the coordination of the Gift Basket department.

Responsibilities

Grocery Lead

Provides exceptional customer service in all interactions. Places orders with the warehouse and vendors. Executes merchandising plans, including promotions and seasonal merchandizing. Restocks and organizes shelves according to product category. Manages signage and executes price changes. Ensures that proper Point of Sale signage is visible for all products. Ensures that merchandise is properly rotated. Receive and check invoices. Prepare returns and credits for merchandise returned to suppliers or the warehouse. Fulfills special orders for customers.
Gift Basket Coordinator

Designs baskets in accordance with Denninger's standards. Oversees gift basket production and distribution. Prepares products for gift basket production. Takes, processes and coordinates all gift basket orders. Orders products and supplies effectively to achieve maximum sales and gross margin. Ensures quality control of all products. Maintain gift basket stock levels for stores to achieve sales and gross margin objectives in high and low seasons.
All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Strong customer service skills are required. Must have basic computer skills. Experience using Google Apps is an asset. Ability to work independently and part of a team. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Basic math skills are required. Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the store.

Essential Job Functions

Standing and walking for extended periods of time. Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist the upper body, reach above and below shoulders. Bend and lift loads, up to 50 pounds. Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds. Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation. Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
