Hospice Wellington is looking for a second committed and compassionate Grief and Bereavement Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of the community services team, the Grief and Bereavement Coordinators play a vital role in providing compassionate, comprehensive support to individuals and families coping with loss. The second of two similar positions, this role is responsible for managing all inquiries related to grief support, conducted thorough assessments to determine client needs, while delivering appropriate interventions through case management and direct service provision. The coordinators oversee the planning, coordination, and facilitation of individual and group-based grief support services, ensuring they are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to the diverse needs of the community. In collaboration with interdisciplinary team members, this role ensures the hospice's bereavement care aligns with best practices and regulatory standards, while fostering an environment of empathy, dignity, and healing. This second full-time Grief and Bereavement Coordinator will work cohesively and in tandem with our existing coordinator to ensure our large case load and waiting lists are addressed.

Master of Social Work

Education, Responsibilities and Experience:
MSW degree required
Experience with grief and bereavement counselling preferred
Experience in hospice care, knowledge of hospice/palliative care philosophy
Maintain monthly contact and reporting for client status and case management
Collaborate with all staff to ensure quality development, and delivery of hospice programs
Establish and maintain community relationships for referrals and program development
Experience with Client Intake and Case Management
Experience with Group Facilitation and training for grief support
Participation in fund development and public engagement events
Valid Driver's Licence and reliable transportation
