Job Description

Are you interested in local organic food production and supporting the Comox Valley in being more self-sufficient and sustainable? We need people excited about organic local production who would like to join our team at Eatmore Sprouts to help bring good food to people.We have immediate openings in our Greenhouse and Food Production Facility.Duties vary between different areas of the facility, though all employees are responsible for maintaining and cleaning their work areas. We have openings in the indoor growing facility and greenhouses.General duties include but are not limited to:

  • Planting, harvesting, and packaging sprouts inside the facility and/or in the greenhouse
  • Cleaning equipment and production areas
  • Keeping accurate records
  • Preparing customer orders for shipping including preparation and loading of pallets in a refrigerated environment, ensuring secure wrapping and transport requirements for all products
REQUIREMENTS: Punctual and Reliable. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods of time. Willingness to learn. Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills. Food Safe Certificate and WHMIS Training an asset.JOB SPECIFICS: Full-time, part-time, year-round work. Since our facility is in production 7 days a week, weekend shifts will be required. Must be available for morning and day-time shifts, no evening shifts.We have developed a covid-19 plan to keep our employees safe in the workplace.If you are flexible (in mind and body), eager to learn and work hard as part of a diverse team, then we want to hear from you!Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
