Job Overview:

The [Production Crew] are the hands on team members that mix, produce, and package finished Sussex Ice Cream. They receive instructions from the Production Supervisor at the beginning of the day on what will be made and when, and they are accountable to the Production Supervisor for maintaining a good pace of production. They are the last people who see the ice cream before it is packed away, frozen and sold to the customer. As such, they remember that on the other end of their work is a customer who just paid a premium for our ice cream and is looking forward to enjoying it. They make sure the ice cream is mixed and packaged in its best state with that customer in mind at no expense to the quality of the product. The Production Crew is also responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary working space.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Ensure a safe work environment is maintained

• Records all data necessary in the proper documentation

• Reports any concerns to production supervisor

• Prepares packaging (stickers and containers, etc.)

• Prepares workstation with adequate ingredients and tools

• Combines mix with ingredients using recipe cards

• Adds, monitors, and extrudes ice cream

• Mixes in inclusions

• Packages ice cream

• Moves ice cream to blast freezer

• Cleans facility at midday, day end, and week end

• Helping out wherever needed when production days are slower

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Food processing experience 1-2 years.

• Team player.

• Has good time management.

• Is a people person and approachable.

• Can lift 50 lbs.

• Attention to detail.

• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Food processing: 1 year (preferred)
