Tasks

Hire, supervise and schedule staff Resolve work problems by providing technical advice to increase the value and functionality of a property Schedule work Plan and estimate labour and materials Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality Supervise nursery and greenhouse workers Supervise staff and other officials Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites Perform minor repairs and adjustments to equipment Establish work schedules Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures Organize planting, cultivating and crop harvesting activities Organize greenhouse and nursery operations Determine scheduling of production Coordinate work activities to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets
