Do you enjoy being physically active and have a passion for plants' Then this job is for you! Blue Grass, Calgary's largest Nursery and Garden Center is looking for energetic and enthusiastic people to work in our fast-paced greenhouse. This is a dynamic summer seasonal position, with the prime operating season being April through July.
Responsibilities include:
Watering and optimizing the health of annuals, perennials, and indoor plants Assisting customers in the sales of annuals, perennials, and indoor plants Unloading product shipments, loading product orders for customers and stocking greenhouse General housekeeping of the greenhouse
Qualifications:
Some knowledge of horticulture/landscaping would be an asset Training and tools will be provided, however, 1 year of experience in a customer service role is preferred Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50lbs Fluency in English and a second language would be an asset
Physical Demands:
Standing for long periods Capable of offloading truck shipments of plant material and restocking and maintaining products on a repetitive basis, this is a physically demanding position
