Tasks

Clean the crops Clear and collect brush and debris from fields and other work areas Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for germination Cut agricultural seed according to farm standards Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots Greenhouse cleaning Guide growing shoots into optimal development positions Hand harvesting vegetables Harvest seedlings Level earth to fine grade specifications Mixing fertilizer Seed cutting Tie and secure plants Weeding Write daily basic progress reports Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants Mix and prepare soils Plant bulbs and seeds Pot and re-pot plants Apply fertilizers Report signs of insect or disease damage Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens Clean work area Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry Fertilize and spray crops Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high price in market. Sort fruits and vegetables Pack fruits and vegetables Monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns Cut agricultural crops
