Print and Sign Shop is looking for a motivated, self starter to join our team as a graphic design/sign producer. Our shop is located in Paradise and is seeking to hire an individual with Print Production, Customer Service and Graphic design skills. Familiar with Adobe, Fiery rip, rasterlink and other similar prepress platforms. Prior experience preferred. The individual needs to have a flare for Customer Service, good communication skills, multi-tasker and committed. Transportation to our shop is required. Pay to be determined upon experience.Graphic Design duties: * Setting up proofs for clients and making changes as per requests * Daily communication with clients about current and upcoming signage projects * Processing orders from start to finish, that may include ordering materials from suppliers by phone or email * Designer will be expected to engage in discussion with clients regarding their designs and get feedback - but also give input to the client by offering advice on design intent * Keeping large projects on track by organizing multiple dead-lines and production phases for smaller parts within a larger scope * Knowledge of common signage materials an asset \xe2\x80\x93 including sheet stock, roll stock and extruded stock \xe2\x80\x93 and the appropriate time to specify each * File setup for printing (pre-press) and print operation using large format digital printers Fabricator duties: * Laminating, trimming, mounting and packaging tasks within the Graphics Department, that may extend into fabrication duties within the fabrication area - - - Skills - - - Printing Skills: * knowledge of large format printer (preferred) Computer literacy: * Proficient using Adobe Illustrator Graphics related tasks are Illustrator oriented * Proficient using Photoshop Graphics related tasks are Photoshop oriented * Proficient with Acrobat Pro (compiling documents for clients, mark-ups, portable file sharing) * Knowledge of InDesign, and standard word processors/spreadsheets an asset General skill: * Excellent verbal and written communication in english are a requirement * Ability to lift up to 60LB materials, to unload & load machines (ie. Roll vinyl for printing)* Job Type: Full-time Salary: $17.00-$23.00 per hour Benefits:
