ROLE Video Editor
_Full-time Temporary Position
(40 hours per week until Aug 31 with potential to convert into Continuing Position)_ OVERVIEW Are you a creative individual with an eye for detail and a passion for video editing? If so, this is the perfect job for you! As a Video Editor, you will be responsible to craft video that engage and inspire our clients? audiences. You will cut, craft, and refine raw video into a captivating video that entertains, impacts, and educates. Working closely with our Creative Director, production team, and Assistant Editor intern, you will develop and execute video edits from start to finish, while maintaining the highest level of quality and attention to detail. JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Edit video content to produce high-quality, polished videos that meet project specifications.
  • Work with the creative team to understand project goals, objectives, and timelines.
  • Review and select footage to create engaging video content that tells a story and resonates with the target audience.
  • Ensure consistency of branding and messaging across all video content.
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure that video content is delivered on time and meets project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all projects, including project files and video archives.
  • Create and add visual effects, titles, and graphics to enhance the final video product.
  • Add background music and sound effects to improve the video's overall impact.
  • Prepare final videos for publishing on various platforms.
  • Complete professional development including Final Cut Pro VideoPro certification course and exam.
  • Optimize post production workflow including process documentation and training.
QUALIFICATIONS Required Experience:
  • Excellent video editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong understanding of Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premier, or similar editing software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Experience with colour correction, audio editing, and basic motion graphics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with Final Cut Pro.
  • Work experience in a technical position.
  • Associate?s or Bachelor's degree in Film, Video Production, or a related field.
