Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design with a focus on branding, digital art, and visual communication. This role requires proficiency in various design software and tools, as well as the ability to collaborate with management to produce high-quality designs that align with our brand identity and marketing objectives. We are an established B2B market leader in the Hand Knitting industry in Canada.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement innovative design concepts for branding, marketing materials, and digital platforms. Create visually appealing graphics for web and print, including logos, brochures, catalogues and social media content. Collaborate with management to ensure cohesive branding across all platforms. Utilize Adobe, Affinity Suite or similar creative programs for graphic design projects. Conduct product photography, photo manipulation and editing to enhance visual content. Manage color theory and typography to create aesthetically pleasing layouts. Updating and populating the company website with new content, coordinating with seasonal product launches, promotions and sales.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role with a strong portfolio showcasing your work. Proficiency in photo editing and graphic design software (Affinity Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or similar), Knowledge of web design principles including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred. Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress. Strong understanding of branding, layout design, and typography. Experience in digital art creation and production design. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated. On-site training is provided, and a willingness to learn new methods is required. This is an in person position, remote workers need not apply. Knowledge of knitting and crochet would be an asset but is not required.
