Position Summary
We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join the Cheil Canada team and report to the Art Director. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our campaigns across various platforms by blending your design expertise with digital marketing skills. Your expertise in editing for web/digital, social, and TV formats will be crucial in ensuring that our content not only meets but exceeds client expectations. A nuanced understanding of advertising and marketing is considered a valuable asset for this role. In addition to producing digital artwork and visuals based on provided client specifications and guidelines, the successful candidate must be capable of project managing their own tasks and workflow.
Key Responsibilities
Working closely with multiple clients to fulfill asset adaption and localization
Designing and produce visually compelling materials, including but not limited to: display ad banners, social media graphics, email templates, website content, infographics and presentations aligning with brand guidelines
Develop print collateral, including flyers, posters, and promotional materials, adhering to industry standards and printer requirements
Assisting in photo editing, retouching, and manipulation
Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including account leads, copywriters, creative lead and other designers, to develop innovative and effective design concepts for various projects
Proactively suggesting layout solutions and ideas
Dispatching high resolution files via electronic network
Ensuring all work produced adheres to specified guidelines and agreed deadlines
Keeping up to date on graphic design tools and techniques
Staying up-to-date with industry trends, design techniques, and software tools to continuously enhance design skills and bring fresh ideas to the team
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or diploma in graphic design or equivalent experience
1-3 years' experience working in a studio/agency environment
A portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects across both digital and print platforms
Competent in digital delivery systems
Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition
Experience with responsive design and knowledge of the latest web design trends
Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Ability to receive and incorporate feedback while maintaining a positive attitude
Strong interpersonal skills, effective at building relationships at all levels
Experience with promotional offers, contests and A/B testing
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a busy environment managing multiple projects, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines
Able to listen to diverse perspectives with an empathetic attitude

Skill Set
Required: Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Highly Desired:
Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects - ability to do some basic editing such as changing supers, updating disclaimers, editing video timelines and resizing/managing aspect ratios
