The Graphic Designer, Digital Content will support the overall digital experience and content strategy by producing meaningful designs that will bring Giant Tiger's digital content to life. The successful candidate will report to the Digital UX and Creative Director and will work closely with the Site Experience, Digital Marketing, Site Operations, Product Management, Marketing and PR teams to design engaging customer focused content.

The Graphic Designer, Digital Content will be responsible for designing fun, impactful customer-centric visual content for all of Giant Tiger's digital channels (website, email and social). In this role the Graphic Designer, Digital Content will also contribute to building and executing strategies and processes to optimize content ensuring it meets business needs as well as supports the customer along their journey.

A strong understanding of brand guidelines, digital graphic design best practices and a knack for creating engaging digital content that brings stories to life online is essential.

Execution:

Design original, inspiring and on brand customer-centric visual content for Giant Tiger's digital channels and platforms including but not exclusive to the website, emails and social channels

Skilled in interpreting creative briefs and an ability to interpret high-level concepts and strategic goals, visually bringing them to life

Create designs that are consistent and on brand across all digital channels and platforms

Strong understanding of digital design best practices with a clear point of view as to how design can influence and guide the customer on their journey

Work closely with copywriters to craft clear, concise and compelling stories across different digital channels

Work closely with stakeholders and Digital UX and Creative Director when creating mock-ups, wireframes and seeking final approvals

Work closely with Site Experience, Digital Marketing and Product Management teams to effectively A/B test different designs and typography

Skilled at simultaneously working on multiple design projects with various deadlines

Ability to produce a variety of content and adapt style and graphic elements supporting different tactics and outputs

Ability to incorporate feedback and quickly pivot based on unplanned market and/or world events

Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize work

Create and maintain a database for creative assets

Flexible with an ability to thrive in a fast pace ever changing environment

Strategy:

Bring forth and confidently execute new and on trend designs and ideas

Participate in creating and maintaining the Digital Content Style Guide

Develop strategies and processes to optimize content ensuring it meets business needs as well as supports the customer along their journey

Participate in digital content planning and creative concepts for regular content as well as projects, key events and promotions

Present concepts and ideas to the Site Experience, Digital Marketing, Product Management and Digital Leadership teams

Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on trends influencing strategic decisions

Use data and site metrics to inform decisions

Collaborate and strategize with entire Site Experience, Site Operations, Digital Marketing, Product Management and Marketing Teams

Monitor and report on SLAs continuously striving to improve lead times

Confidence to make quick decisions that are on brand and aligned to the overall strategies of the business

Qualifications:

Degree in Graphic Design or a related field

5+ years of web and graphic design experience; in-house or agency

2+ years' experience in eCommerce

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Experience with Figma and XD

Strong understanding of design processes and methodologies

Experience in both Agile and Scrum considered an asset

A portfolio illustrating your ability to deliver on brand digital content
