The Graphic Designer is responsible for applying graphic and design skills to develop creative visual solutions and designs for Senators Sports & Entertainment ("SSE").
Reports to: Creative Director
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Produce multiple brand and marketing assets across all channels including digital, social, paid media, in-game features, and print applications in accordance with provided briefs
Interpret creative direction and ensure brand alignment for all creative outputs, working closely with Creative Director to ensure consistency across the team
Develop concepts, design options, and final artwork for the SSE companies in accordance with established look and feel
Proofing of own work and on occasion peer review other designers work to ensure assets are technically correct and produced to the highest quality
Ensure all designs support sponsors, clients, and agencies with accurate and on-brand graphics and logo usage
Provide layout and final production of print ads for clients and their ad agencies, once approved by the requesting department head
Ensuring all work aligns with the Ottawa Senators brand standards, seasonal strategy, and Creative Director guidance, while maintaining an high level of quality
Working in a collaborative style across the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma to build assets using shared imagery, fonts, templates, and design elements
Reviewing project briefs in Asana and completing assigned tasks, including the admin work of procuring alignments and final sign off of your projects
Sharing working files with the Creative Team and preparing packaged files using established folder structure and naming conventions for archiving, including final assets, iterations, and supporting elements
Submitting work for review, implementing feedback, and managing revisions in a timely and professional manner
Collaborating with internal Creative Team members to ensure alignment and team support
Preparing and exporting final channel-ready artwork across all formats, ensuring technical accuracy and delivery to specification
Own your assigned projects end-to-end, including taking responsibility for workbacks and timely delivery that meets client goals and objectives
JOB REQUIREMENTS
3 years' previous experience as a graphic designer with experience in both digital and print design
University degree or college diploma in visual arts or graphic arts
Creative ability and artistic talent as demonstrated by work portfolio
Strong technical abilities in the Adobe Suite & Figma
Keen understanding of brand standards and working within them
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
