We are seeking a Graphic Designer & Marketing Specialist to join our Sales & Marketing Team. This is a full-time position based out of our head office in Newmarket (conveniently located at 404 & Davis Dr.), with flexibility for a hybrid work model. This role is ideal for a graphic designer with marketing experience. We are looking for a skilled designer, creative thinker, and marketing professional with a strong focus on conceptual thinking and multi-channel marketing design. Working with Turf Care’s Marketing Director, you will produce compelling, visual solutions that drive our key marketing objectives forward.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design a variety of print materials including catalogues, packaging design, brochures, sell sheets, flyers, signage, tradeshow displays, business cards, vehicle graphics, and advertisements
• Produce a range of digital assets including web content/graphics, banners, infographics, html emails, sales presentation decks, social media content, and video
• Write copy for website, social media, print materials and other initiatives
• Assist in the adoption and continued evolution of Turf Care brand and style guides
• Uphold a strong and cohesive visual identity across all channels, conceptualizing and delivering innovative and compelling designs and messaging
• Support the Marketing and Ecommerce team in UI/UX design and content creation for our new website/ecommerce platform
• Collaborate on the creation and management of social media content calendars
• Assist with video and photo editing and content creation
• Assist with planning and execution of various industry events

Skills and Experience

• A university degree or college diploma in graphic design or a related discipline
• Minimum 2-3 years’ of related work experience in graphic design and marketing
• Expert knowledge in the design and layout of print and digital content with a strong understanding of typography, colour theory and print production guidelines
• Highly skilled with Adobe Creative Cloud applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Premiere
• Experience working with email marketing tools such as MailChimp
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Familiar with Social Media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube
• Proficient in photo and video editing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting experience
• Previous experience with web content management system(s)
• Logical, detail oriented, resourceful, and analytical
• Proven organizational, prioritization and time management skills
• Highly capable of juggling concurrent priorities and deliverables with a flexible, can-do approach
• Strong collaborator with a customer focus
• Some knowledge of French is a bonus
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates a high level of creativity and versatility
