The Graphic and Video Graphic Officer is responsible for creating compelling visual content to support Action for Humanity Canada's communication, branding, and outreach efforts. This includes designing digital and print materials, producing engaging videos, and ensuring brand consistency across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities: Graphic Design
Create visual assets for print and digital platforms including brochures, posters, infographics, presentations, and social media.
Design materials for events, campaigns, and internal communication.
Maintain and evolve the organization's brand identity and visual guidelines.
Collaborate with internal departments to produce customized design solutions.
Video Production
Develop storyboards and scripts for promotional, educational, and event videos.
Shoot, edit, and finalize high-quality video content for web and social media.
Add animations, motion graphics, captions, and other enhancements as needed.
Manage video archives and media storage.
Social Media & Digital Support
Design content optimized for social media engagement.
Support web and email marketing campaigns with visual content.
Assist in updating visual content on websites and digital platforms.
Project Management
Manage multiple design and video projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Liaise with external printers, photographers, and vendors when required.
Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Education:
Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Visual Communications, or related field.
Experience:
2+ years of professional experience in graphic design and video production (non-profit sector experience is an asset).
Proven experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
Experience creating social media and web-optimized visuals.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong visual storytelling and layout design skills.
Proficiency in video editing and motion graphics.
Attention to detail and ability to follow brand guidelines.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to take creative direction and work independently or in a team.
Familiarity with accessibility standards (AODA compliance) is an asset.
Language Requirements:
English (essential)
French (desirable, especially for bilingual campaigns)
