Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTA) to facilitate delivery for multiple courses. The GTA will work closely with the instructor to coordinate and manage logistics, ensure a smooth program flow, and provide general support to program participants.
Available positions for:

  • JSGS 802 | Public Finance| Assigned tasks will be: assist in preparing instructional material for each class; carry out tutoring sessions to students before assignments and tests; assist in marking assignments and tests. Ideally, the successful student will have completed JSGS 802 or is well versed in economics | Dr. Iryna Khovrenkov
  • JSGS 806 | Public Policy Analysis | Assigned tasks will be: Updating URCourses with resources that the class/I collect over the semester, class attendance, run tech, videos, and some basic tutoring. Ideally, the successful student will have completed JSGS 801 & JSGS 806 and be familiar with UR Courses.| Dr. Kathleen McNutt
  • JSGS 838 | Public Sector Financial Mgmt | Assigned tasks will be: assessing course assignments using established rubric Ideally, the successful student will have proficiency and expertise in American Psychological Association (APA) format, strong academic reading and writing skills and have completed JSGS 838. | Dr. Corey Hadden
  • JSGS 8XX | HR Related Classes | Preparation for upcoming courses which includes rewriting and updating course content. Ideally, the successful student will have strong writing skills and analytical skills. | Instructional Designer - Jamie Mayoh-Bauche
Position Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Zoom
  • Prior experience in event planning, logistics coordination, project management, and hybrid event delivery are strongly preferred
