The Programme

As part of the Technology Graduate programme, you will join a structured and well-developed 12-month, non-rotational scheme within our Data services business.



The Role

You will be part of the Sutton based team. Working closely with our Data Engineers, Developers and Delivery teams, you will be a part of our SRE function (site reliability), focused on the implementation of deployment tooling, software release processes and adherence to patterns. You will need to be able to demonstrate a real passion for Systems Engineering and what has attracted you to this role. As we continue to grow as a business, so too does out need to deploy features and solutions within cloud environments such as AWS/Azure.



As a Graduate IT Infrastructure Engineer at LexisNexisRisk, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be at the forefront of technological change, managing many different IT Infrastructure technologies both on-Premise and Cloud hosted. As part of our Sutton based team, and working closely with our colleagues across Infrastructure and Operations, Information Security and Data Engineers, Developers and Delivery teams in our Business Units, you will be a part of our Core Infrastructure Services team. This team is focused on the provision and management of central RSG Infrastructure technology services. This encompasses problem resolution, implementation of cloud application deployments and tooling, active directory management, remote access tooling, server management and adherence to information security patterns. You will need to be able to demonstrate a real passion for Infrastructure engineering, with great communication skills and a collaborative mindset. A solid foundation of IT Infrastructure and an appetite for automation through scripting will be a big asset.


Training & Development

You will receive a blend of technical and people skills development. This is important as it\xe2\x80\x99s not just what you do, but how you do it that is important to us.

Initially you will be immersed into an intensive, but rewarding, 2\xe2\x80\x933-week induction bootcamp and will be part of a wider graduate community with frequent socials including charity days and diversity and inclusion events. We work to a 70/20/10 learning model with 70% of your learning on the job, 20% informal learning and 10% from formal educational learning.

  A Passionate collaborator with a focus on what is best for the team

  Understanding of agile development concepts
• 
  Strong communicator who can flex their communication style for different audiences
• 
  Studying STEM (All Sciences, Technology, Economics or Maths) degree. Computer Science or technical related degree desirable.
• 
  Foundational development/ scripting skills desired (e.g. PowerShell, Bash, .NET)

• 
  Interest in software configuration and deployment methodologies (e.g. DevOps/ SRE)
