Role Description

This is a part-time in-person role for Grade 11 & 12 Chemistry, Biology, & Physics Tutor at FOCUS Educational Services Inc. The tutor will be responsible for providing online and/or tutoring sessions, assisting students with understanding concepts, conducting lessons, and enhancing student communication skills. Tutor will be tutoring students from grades 11 & 12.

Qualifications

OCT license (or other teaching licenses from Canadian provinces/territories) is required OR working in their field of study for over 3 years Bachelor's degree in mathematics, bachelor's degree in science, Education, or related field in Canada Must have attended high school in Canada Previous experience in teaching or tutoring is a plus Must be familiar with the Ontario school curriculum Strong communication skills Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences Excellent time management and organizational skills Patience and empathy when working with students Must be available to work:
o Mondays 6pm to 9pm

o Thursday 6pm to 9pm

o Friday 7pm to 9Pm

o Saturday 12pm to 5pm

o Sunday 12pm to 5pm

Must be Reliable

Note:

As this tutoring role is closely aligned with the Ontario education system, we kindly ask that

only candidates who hold a Canadian high school diploma and a post-secondary degree from a recognized Canadian university to apply.

Familiarity with the Ontario curriculum and prior tutoring or teaching experience--especially within an Ontario-based academic setting--are essential. Candidates must also be available to work between

12 to 15 hours per week

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$29.50 per hour
