We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow removal operations during winter months. This role requires a strong understanding of landscape maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various equipment effectively. The Snow Plow Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining clear and safe pathways for vehicles and pedestrians.
Responsibilities
Operate snow plow equipment to clear roads, parking lots, and walkways of snow and ice.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
Perform routine maintenance on snow removal equipment, including checking fluid levels and replacing worn parts.
Utilize hand tools and power tools for additional snow removal tasks as needed.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including hours worked and materials used.
Respond promptly to changing weather conditions and adjust operations accordingly.
Experience
Previous experience in snow removal or related fields is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with excavators, irrigation systems, gardening, horticulture, landscape maintenance, and construction practices is advantageous.
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
Ability to work long hours in adverse weather conditions while maintaining a high level of safety awareness.
