Skownan School is a Nursery to Grade 9 facility with 130 students, 10 teaching staff and 17 support staff located in Skownan, approximately one and a half hours northeast of Dauphin. Local amenities include a gas bar, convenience store, restaurant, and a health centre. Hunting, fishing and eco-tourism are all vital drivers for the local economy.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education Degree and valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for) A sound knowledge of Manitoba Middle Years curricula Previous Middle Years teaching experience including experience in multi-graded classrooms. A sound knowledge and experience with school-based technology Experience with integrating Indigenous culture and land-based teaching into curriculum Strong classroom management skills Experience working with students with unique needs A commitment to differentiated instruction A willingness to inquire into best practices and reflect on practices A team player committed to the belief that all students can learn Self-motivated
