We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pro Shop Cash Clerk to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a pleasant golf experience for all guests at our golf facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills in a busy Pro Shop, a passion for golf, and the ability to handle cash and credit card transactions. The position also assists the Controller in balancing and recording transactions from the Lounge, Snack Bar, and Pro Shop areas. The successful candidate will also receive free golf privileges.
Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Entering sales transactions using the Golf POS system, including cash handling and credit card processing.
Selling golf merchandise to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, addressing customer inquiries and providing information about golf products and services.
Obtaining cash bags from Snack Bar, Lounge, and Pro Shop registers and balancing them. Recording staff gratuities for payroll purposes with the Controller.
Experience
Previous retail sales experience is preferred; experience in a golf shop or sports retail environment is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in cash handling and familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
A passion for golf or knowledge of golf products will enhance your ability to assist customers effectively.
Experience in Cash and Credit Card register balancing with basic accounting and Excel spreadsheets.
