Global Practice Leader, Geochemistry / Water Quality – Vancouver, Calgary or Toronto. - (AUS0006XO)

We are looking for a Global Practice Leader, Geochemistry / Water Quality Expert to join our team as Practice Leader. You will work on a variety of interesting and challenging projects across Canada and internationally. As an expert in geochemistry, water quality assessment and management, you bring scientific/technical mastery, sophisticated regulatory understanding, leadership skills, business acumen, and an entrepreneurial spirit along with a keen interest in growing and evolving the business, leading teams, and mentoring staff. About the role:

• Provide leadership to our strategic initiative to grow water services across Canada.
• Develop and maintain key client relationships and support growth of the team and business.
• Support project design, permitting and environmental assessment of diverse projects by contributing your expertise in geochemistry and water quality assessment and management, ideally within the mining sector.
• Helping draft proposals, be involved in business development, panel reviews, workshops and review work;
• Work seamlessly with multi-disciplinary teams, including hydrogeologists, hydrologists, biologists, and engineers.
• Provide expert support and advice within and outside of the organization.
• Mentor and develop staff.

About you:

• Recognized as an expert in geochemistry / water quality with a dedication to and passion for your discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience providing waste and water quality management services within the mining sector.
• P.Geo. or equivalent professional designation in AB, BC or ON and preferrable other Canadian provinces and territories.
• Consulting acumen, including an entrepreneurial spirit, strong self-direction, and overarching belief in client satisfaction.
• Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience in leading, mentoring, and training staff on water quality modelling
• Proven verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in a second language including French or Spanish an advantage.
