What You'll Do:
Payroll Processing & Operations
You'll process accurate, timely payroll for 350+ employees across the US, Canada, Ireland, UK, and other jurisdictions as needed using Rippling's US Payroll, Global Payroll, and EOR models
You'll coordinate payroll setup for new hires, ensuring accurate data entry and timely first paycheck processing
You'll reconcile payroll transactions and resolve discrepancies.
You'll partner with Rippling support teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize platform functionality
You'll manage off-cycle payroll runs, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation adjustments
Tax Compliance & Year-End Processing
You'll monitor Rippling's automated tax calculations and filings across all jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
You'll review and approve year-end tax documents (W-2s, T4s, P60s) before distribution to employees
You'll manage garnishments and statutory deductions, maintaining compliance with federal, state, provincial, and international regulations
You'll leverage Rippling's compliance alerts to stay current with changing tax laws
You'll maintain audit-ready payroll documentation for annual financial audits
Benefits Administration & Reconciliation
You'll process benefit enrollment changes, life events, and terminations in Rippling to ensure accurate payroll deductions
You'll reconcile monthly benefit deductions, including insurance, flexible benefit accounts, and other pre-tax deductions, against carrier billing statements and resolve discrepancies
You'll validate pre-tax and post-tax benefit withholdings are correctly configured across all payroll cycles
You'll ensure ERISA compliance and coordinate with HR on benefits administration
You'll administer 401(k) and retirement plan contributions, including employer matches and true-ups
You'll support annual benefits audits (e.g. 401K audit) including 5500 filings by providing required payroll data
Reporting & Process Improvement
You'll prepare custom payroll reports for Finance, HR, and leadership teams
You'll partner with Finance on month-end close activities and GL reconciliation
You'll develop and document standard operating procedures for payroll operations
You'll respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax matters
You'll identify automation opportunities and process improvements within the Rippling platform
Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
5+ years of payroll processing experience, with at least 2 years managing multi-country payroll
Deep expertise in US payroll regulations (federal and multi-state); working knowledge of Canadian, Irish, and UK payroll requirements
Experience with cloud-based payroll systems (Rippling experience highly
preferred
)
Strong understanding of payroll accounting, tax compliance, and statutory reporting requirements
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or similar certification
preferred
Experience with M&A payroll integration, including system transitions and Day 1 payroll readiness
preferred
Experience working with EOR models and managing payroll through third-party providers
preferred
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States or Canada
